Go Bananas Comedy Club at 8410 Market Place Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio.

I am extremely disappointed with this place! I absolutely love comedy, and the comedians were stellar, shout out to Josh Cocks & Al Jackson, you both killed it! That being said, the service and the general attitude of the staff was absolutely awful! Our waitress was very rude and unresponsive! We arrived a half hour early to get our order in and get settled, but that did not make a difference as we still waited 45 minutes for our food.

We ordered our food and a pop to drink while we were waiting on the food to get out to us, oh by the way pops are not free refills they are $2 per glass lol We planned on buying a Mudslide as well to drink with our food and watch the show. I finally was able to get the waitress to come back over and made a simple request to have our drinks come out with our food, and to my surprise the waitress said that this was not possible!? She said that there was no way for her to know when they would be bringing the food out, so there was no way for her to know when to have the drinks made? I've never in my life been to an establishment that are not competent enough to coordinate with their staff to be able to serve a customer their food and drink all at once, most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. So I still gave it a shot because the waitress said that they make the drinks extremely quick and she would have them out as soon as they brought out the food.

Well 15 minutes later after our food was brought in, still no drinks, still no waitress, nothing! At this point the comedian who warms up the room for the opening & feature act got on stage. Fed up now that my food was cold, and my mouth was dry from eating food without anything to drink I decided to go talk to the manager thinking he would understand. This is the same guy who will probably give you your tickets, I explained to him that I simply wanted my drink brought out with my food and he acted as if I was speaking another language " oh that's because it's two different departments, lol like we all don't coordinate with other departments at our own jobs smh. I proceeded to tel him that my food was now all cold and that it's ridiculous that I've been waiting for a drink for 15 minutes after I received my food, in which he started to argue with me about it! He then cut me off in the middle of our conversation to help another couple, without coming up with any solution. I just walked off because I did not want to miss anymore of the show than I already did, ad that is what I came for.

These people force you to spend a minimum and an 18% gratuity, and then treat you with disrespect, bad service, and ruin the good show that these comedians are trying to put on. The manager decided to come and find me after he helped the other people about five minutes later. At this point the opening act came on, the manager comes out and starts arguing with me again about what my issue was, not asking,not being nice about it, but arguing and almost acting as if I did something wring just for saying something. I tried to tell him again that all my food was cold and that I do not want it, I don't want to wait another 45 minutes for you to cook the food, I don't want this food now because it is cold. he gets mad and says what food is cold , just cheese sticks, I told him just forget it sir, it's whatever I just want to watch this show. I mean this guy was literally arguing with me while this young comic was trying to do his thing, and I'm thinking c'mon man you are just being rude.

At this point I just wanted to straight up pay them the $3 minimum pr person and the 18% gratuity that is required to watch the show, and I did not want the drinks, food or anything, as we did not touch them anyways. Stay away from this place if you do not want to get ripped off. I think that they are so used to dealing with drunk customers that they forgot how to treat sober customers. My girlfriend and myself were out on a date night, one that we rarely get as we have 4 kids under the age of 5. It was also her birthday weekend, and the staff and this manager ruined it!
